Blending Tradition and Modernity in a Unique Office Space

The design stands out for its innovative use of lines, colors, forms, and textures to convey historical and cultural connotations. Traditional Chinese elements are combined with modern materials and furniture craftsmanship, resulting in a seamless integration of different time periods. This approach not only preserves the classical ancient style but also promotes the innovation of art.

One of the key features of the design is the front desk, which abandons excessive decorations for a simple and intuitive splicing. The use of niche elements for space division and the interplay of light and stone materials create a fresh and engaging atmosphere. The office covers a total of 890 square meters, with areas for negotiation, calligraphy, and tea drinking, all designed to create a pleasant and culturally rich environment.

The design process, which took place from December 2018 to April 2019, was not without its challenges. Tan had to reinterpret the dignity and elegance of Chinese-style furniture to meet the aesthetic needs of modern people. The use of clear-cut and simplified wood lines, comfortable cotton and linen, and elegant silk materials were some of the strategies employed to overcome these challenges.

Another interesting aspect of the design is the use of blank space in the corridor area. Simple art ornaments and hanging paintings elaborate the meaning of luxury in a graceful way, filling the thin space with rich rhythm and rhythm. The color layout and accessories selection are calm and concise, with stable and comfortable neutral colors such as moonlight, tea white, and rice gray shaping the peaceful space temperament.

The design was recognized with a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and Tan's design for the Industrial Bank is a deserving recipient. With its blend of tradition and modernity, it is a testament to the power of design to transform spaces and create unique experiences.
